Architect Piera Tempesti Benelli made deft use of spaces, materials and colors for Grand Hotel Minerva's 97 new rooms to make them warm, inviting, comfortable and relaxing. All the rooms have wooden floors, soft colors on walls holding works by contemporary artists chosen from Florence and Pietrasanta's leading art galleries. She personally designed all furnishing pieces, paying tribute to Florence and Tuscany, and drawing on local artisans like the Antico Setificio Fiorentino, which made the textiles. Among the materials was, of course, the famous leather tanned in Florence, which she used both to cover all the room doors and on many headboards. All this fine craftsmanship, art and creativity, paired with hi-tech features, help meet our guests' every need and make their stays comfortable.
