Celebrity Apex never disappoints!
July
Pros: Beautiful ship; outstanding crew; excellent and diverse menus.
Cons: Can think of nothing!
Recommended: Yes
Celebrity Apex is a ship filled with beautiful art and sculptures that many people overlook or simply don't see because they're so involved in excursions and activities. Often people do the "Behind the Scenes" tour on the ship that takes them to the galley and the bridge for example. But very few people do the Art and Architecture tour the ship provides. They are really missing out! You'll see the ship through new eyes! We highly recommend it!
Excellent cruise
June
Pros: Ship was beautiful, well equipped and great cruise team!
Cons: Had one on shore excursion that was not organized and we missed it!
Recommended: Yes
Destination Highlight: Iceland's Landscapes by Horseback. The people on the dock did not know which van should be taking us. I asked all the buses I saw and everyone I saw and no one could get us to the correct transportation. Immediately, I came back to excursions desks and reported but they did not refund our tickets. This was the one excursion my granddaughter had asked to do.
fire and ice cruise 24
July
Pros: great food, service and wonderful people
Cons:
Recommended: Yes
I would have like a better descriptions of the excursions. The were a little vague.
Celebrity Apex - Life Changing Experience
May
Pros: 100% guest focused and perfection on every detail.
Cons: none
Recommended: Yes
This was my first cruise with a bonus of “quilting” on board. I was so impressed with the staff and crews’ professionalism. It is clear to me Celebrity makes it a priority to train their staff/crew to a high level of exceptional service for their guests. Amazing food and offerings on board.
Beautiful ship
May
Pros: Clean, responsive and friendly staff, quiet sleeping with comfortable beds, excellent food and beverage choices.
Cons: Cosmopolitan food service. Excursions nothing to get excited about.
Recommended: Yes
Server table assignments needs improvement. Many servers requesting the same drink or meal orders at once. Then there was nobody to follows up on menu requests like coffee service.
Overall excursions disappointing. Excursion descriptions use words like woolen mill when in fact it was just a store not an experience. Or, interactive linen making. Not only did the demonstrator not know how to make linen, her talk was 5 minutes and threw a couple of threads around. Again misrepresenting the activity. Our tour guide was informative. Again, a lot of money to take us on a walk. We could have explored the ports better on our own with just transportation to get you out of the port.
Celebrity Apex Review
April
Pros: Excellent evening shows Very nice veranda stateroom
Cons: Not happy with TV shows. Very limited viewing
Recommended: Yes
Very happy with the service from our stateroom attendant Ian.
Overall our trip on the Apex was very good. One negative I have
Is music too loud in pool area during mid afternoon.
Fantastic Ship
April
Pros: Food Service Decor Activities Crew Cleanliness Entertainment
Cons:
Recommended: Yes
We love the Apex and as well we love the Edge Class of Ships.
Solo Travelers
March
Pros: The solo cabins are real nice.
Cons: Cost of being a SoloTraveler
Recommended: Yes
I have traveled many times on Celebrity. The cost for a solo traveler when a solo cabin is not available is so expensive( charge double occupancy). They need to charge less than double.
Celebrity needs to have more meetup/meeting than on the day of disembarkation. While on the first day, the Celebrity staff person said you can all meet again, but there will not be a staff person here. They need to have more activities for the just the solo traveler.
These comment are not to reflect that there are issues with this agency. I think the agency is great and I will always use Debbie Stack. She is the best.
Sky Suite and the Retreat lounge are good, the rest only okay
January
Pros: Spacious Sky Suite cabin; comfortable Retreat lounge; excellent Internet connection
Cons: Ship is crowded; food quality varies; crew service is average
Recommended: Yes
Thank goodness for the Retreat Lounge. It was a comfortable refuge from the crowds of this big ship. The concierge staff in the lounge were also very helpful in handling questions and requests.
The Sky Suite cabin is the best I have enjoyed among this tier of cruise lines without getting into the pricey penthouse suites. It was spacious and comfortable. I really liked the “window” in the bathroom that allowed natural light in and made the bathroom feel even more spacious. My only gripe is that the room safe is really tiny.
The food on the ship, unfortunately, is less than stellar. The buffet is abysmal. The food quality in the restaurants was hit and miss. I had some really excellent dishes, but also some real disappointments. The Luminae restaurant is exclusive for the Retreat class, but often had an uninspired menu and service was mediocre. I preferred the Blu restaurant, which had a better menu and better service. The waiters in Blu were also willing to let me order dishes from the main dining menus in addition to the Blu menu.
This is not a cruise ship for families, which is fine by me. I saw only a handful of kids on the entire ship.
Overall, I did enjoy the cruise. I would only cruise again in the Retreat class, though.
Wonders on the high seas
January
Pros: New ship, excellent food, helpful staff, great service, amazing spa/gym-overall a great vacation
Cons: Not much at all due to weather issues excursions were canceled
Recommended: Yes
Celebrity apex was a wonderful experience with great food and so much to do
Stateroom was well appointed and much bigger than I thought. Dining in Blu was overall great and the staff was so accommodating and friendly.
There was so much to do or just relax by the pool
7 days on the high seas was a perfect vacation getaway
Sailing away with Celebrity
January
Pros: The Apex was absolutely beautiful, The food was amazing, Entertainment was wonderful, Drinks were so tasty, our cabin steward was so attentive to our needs, and the hospitality overall was simply amazing. We seriously felt like royalty
Cons: Too many kids on this cruise ship and no infinity pools on the Deck 15
Recommended: Yes
This was our 2nd cruise with Celebrity. We are already planning our next! Celebrity is amazing as a whole. The ship was kept clean, most of the staff was super friendly and attentive. The decor of the ship was stunning.
Another fabulous Celebrity cruise
December
Pros: Perfection
Cons: None!!!
Recommended: Yes
Loved this so much that I have the same SV booked for next December.
Apex Review
March
Pros: Great Service. Clean. Beautiful and comfortable staterooms. Great on board activities. Great entertainment and shopping. Great shore excursions. Great meal options.
Cons: Shoe excursions too short of time on beaches.
Recommended: Yes
I would recommend this trip.
Cruise to San Juan, Tortola and St. Kitts
March
Pros: Clean, beautiful ship, great food and entertainment, nice room (and bathroom), fun activities
Cons: None
Recommended: Yes
Great experience - first time on Celebrity. Apex is a beautiful new ship. Mobile App gives you lots of information and a daily planner. Easy on-off procedures. Friendly, helpful crew. Great food options. Spring break week, but the kids weren't a problem at all! We had a blast...
All Great but One Thing
February
Pros: A Gorgeous ship
Cons: The Martini Bar in the center of the ship.
Recommended: Yes
The Martini Bar located in the middle of the ship had entertainment so loud that it ruined my experience being on such an amazing vessel. It not only ruined the Martini Bar but was too loud upstairs in the Steakhouse, in Le Petit Chef, two stories above and in the coffee house.
Cruising
January
Pros: Beautiful newer ship
Cons: Shore excursions are deceitful and not worth the monies
Recommended: Yes
Room Attendant Roshan was fabulous, The Dining Staff Gilbert and Amit where very attentive and wonderful, The shows where excellent, The Bar staff where also very good.
On a Sea of Glass, Smiles All Around
December
Pros: Smooth Sailing, Easy Smiles
Cons: So high up, we were more in the clouds than on the sea
Recommended: Yes
Wow! What a cruise! Smiles from everyone and everyone eager to help.
Except for when in the Oceanview Buffet and looking for the waiter with your drinks.
Great cruise on Apex
October
Pros:
Cons:
Recommended: Yes
Cyprus was a poor choice for a port of call. All the other ports of call were great.
Mediterreannan Cruise with tour of Rome
September
Pros: Great Guides
Cons: had to come home
Recommended: Yes
Had the trip of a lifetime on the APEX! I hated to come back to work after being pampered by the cruise employees. The sites we got to see were absolutely amazing. We went to Cyprus, Israel, Greece, Turkey. Seeing the ruins was my favorite. Knowing that we walked in places Jesus walked gave me the chills. I highly recommend this cruise to anyone. You will not be disappointed. We used the spa on the ship and Aneta had amazing hands that massaged my cares away.
Great Cruise
May
Pros: Excellent Staff
Cons: Excursion issues
Recommended: Yes
Our ports and excursions were changed a few times and there was little help on the ship at the excursion counter. Extremely disappointed that we were unable to visit Normandy as the excursion sold out extremely fast and then by the time we knew that there would not be any other Normandy excursions added, it was too late to find a local one.
Celebrity Apex Transatlantic Cruise
May
Pros: 4 separate dining rooms instead of one main dining, Great Entertainment
Cons: No balcony veranda staterooms beside Sunset Verandas
Recommended: Yes
Beautiful ship! But we are not a fan of the Infinite Veranda Balcony rooms. They are floor to ceiling glass with a upper window that can be lowered. We prefer full balconies which you can only get with a Sunset Veranda or Suite.
Cruising in style
May
Pros: 4 dining rooms and 4 specialty restaurants so you are never with a herd of people
Cons: not much to buy on the ship unless you want to spend big money mostly watches and jewelry
Recommended: Yes
This ship is relatively new and is really taken care of, also the rooms are bigger than most ship lines, The Entertainment is very good. I will highly recommend this ship for anyone thinking about a cruise.
Great Ship
April
Pros: The staff was great, the ship was very clean, service was exceptional
Cons: Not enough availability for the Eden Show, the premium wifi was slow for the price
Recommended: Yes
They lived up to the service as described as it relates to sanitizing everything . All food was served to guest at the buffet. The waiters in main dining were nice and attentive
Fun times
April
Pros: Everything basically on 3 levels easy to find restaurants, shops
Cons: No “fun shopping” pop ups like on Royal Caribbean
Recommended: Yes
Ship was clean, staff was very nice & professional, food was excellent and shows were good. It was not at full capacity which made it nice too. No problems getting into restaurants. Disappointed our first stop was supposed to be Key West & that’s why I booked this cruise then it was changed to Bahamas — not happy.
Luxurious Ship- wonderful crew!
January
Pros: Everything about the ship was gorgeous! Stateroom was fantastic! Food was very good- especially at Fine Cutes! Le Petite Chef was a entertaining dining experience. Loved the coffee shop!
Cons: Sad that the martini bar was not on ice and that there was not as much fun interaction with the bar staff there.
Recommended: Yes
We loved the ship! Our concierge stateroom and service was top notch. We enjoyed our infinite veranda. Loved the solarium and Magic Carpet!
We missed the martini bar that the Equinox has - ice covered and the shows the bar staff put on there.
Theater productions were great as was the performances in Eden.
February 2022 Cruise
February
Pros: The Apex crew is wonderful!
Cons:
Recommended: Yes
The crew is friendly & amazing! The 4 main dining rooms were wonderful and the specialty dining and animation at Le Petit Chef was a highlight. Wie felt very safe with the covid protocols they had in place. It’s a beautiful ship!
Celebrity Apex Jan 22 2022
January
Pros: Food & Drink were excellent in Blu ... All staff went out of their way to accomodate. Beautiful new ship.
Cons: Minor ship design flaws which could be corrected hopefully.
Recommended: Yes
All in all an excellent 7 day cruise. We stayed on ship and enjoyed being pampered while we relaxed. Masking in indoor places became a norm and since all on-board were vaccinated we felt safe at all times. Ship had approximately 1100 on-board or 1/3 capacity allowing for plenty of space.
Year-End Caribbean Cruise
December
Pros: Excellent Food - including the Buffet
Cons: Shore Excursions
Recommended: Yes
Generally this trip met or exceeded our expectations. The food at every venue was superb. And, the weather co-operated, and the seas were calm. With only about half the guests that the ship can carry, staff people were everywhere waiting to help make the trip good for us. They were most friendly and genuinely service-minded. The ship was spotlessly clean and COVID was not an issue - except for the short notice to get a negative test prior to sailing. On-board activities were uninspiring, and Park West had no Bellet pieces for us to bid on. Oddlhy, my wife Karen won a raffle and we got a (one-remaining Bellet for just the shipping fee!) Shore excursions were of such little interest that we opted only for one - which was just so-so. Enrichment lectures were few - except that Bates' talks on her White House experiences were quite interesting but, unfortunately for her, sparsely attended. Merchandise in the shops was all high-end goods with price tags well above our pay grade. Facilities for Suite dwellers appeared to be quite nice - closed to us and most guests. Perks for us (Elite, Concierge) were limited and uninspiring. We regret your decision to eliminate the Library. Bar service was excellent. however, we had trouble finding good wines to drink with our dinner (we had the Classic Bev Package). On one occasion we paid extra for a drinkable wine. Chris (from Jamaica) was a superb bartender and he was fun to be around. He was good to us and seemed to understand our frustration trying to find drinkable wines. We live in CA where GREAT wines are everywhere and don't cost all that much. Likely the CA wineries are not on your radar. We like the new decks on the Veranda cabins (Edge and Apex) and the rollup windows are also nice - especially if you could figure out how to wash all the salt off so views through them would be enjoyable. The bed in our stateroom was VERY comfortable - equal to Crystal, our favorite cruise line. Celebrity has a lot of positive elements along with numerous opportunities to improve. Thank you for an enjoyable two weeks in the Caribbean.
Great cruise
July
Pros: Everything was perfect. Beautiful new ship with excellent service.
Cons: Absolutely none!!
Recommended: Yes
A perfect cruise. Not only a beautiful new ship with new venues & great food but excellent service every single time. The employees were happy &
glad to be back to work. Very good entertainment also. La Petite Chef was
fun with animation on the table. Staterooms are sophisticated & classy with
inside/outside balconies. We love Blu restaurant & Aqua class. Was nice
that alcohol, tips & wifi was included! Great ports too. With connecting flights we stayed in Paris & Greece before the cruise but close to many major cities.
Incredible Greek Isles Cruise
July
Pros: amazing!
Cons: none
Recommended: Yes
We had an incredible week on Celebrity Apex. Because of Covid or travel restrictions there were only about 400 travelers on the ship and 900 staff which made us feel so pampered. The ship is so beautiful! We were told it cost 1.2 billion dollars to construct and we were on its third sailing. Food and entertainment was wonderful as well. Each port we stopped at was great. Our family had an incredible experience and we will definitely be choosing celebrity again in the future.
