Great time away!
November
Pros: There is always something to do. Lots of activities and shows to see.
Cons: Some of the activity areas are small for such a large ship. You have to arrive early to get a seat.
Recommended: Yes
We had a great time. Be sure to make reservations for all the shows you want to see. This allows you to ensure you get to see the show you're interested in. Arrive to activities early as well, trivia and karaoke are very popular and seating is limited. There were many who had to take a seat on the floor to be able to enjoy these.

Pros: Trip was wonderful and the service was great. I loved the ship but it took awhile to figure it out.
Cons: Elevators were always full most part people were courteous. Last day was almost a nightmare with passengers taking their luggage off. But the ship was organized and disembarking was a breeze.

Pros:
Cons:
Recommended: Yes
Beautiful Ship with lots to do. Great kid friendly atmosphere. Entertainment was plentiful and great! The stafff was extremely friendly and helpful. For the amount of people, surprisingly the decks weren't over crowded and pool chairs were not a hassle. The elevators could get tricky close to dining times or when returning from ports. Getting into the shows was a challenge early on and the APP did not work for reservations. However, this problem eased up about mid-way through the trip and we were able to get in the shows without reservations. Boarding the ship was a breeze - disembarking as well. No long lines/waiting. Walked right through and on to the ship. Same getting off. No mass confusion - - VERY organized! Overall, loved the ship and would definitely recommend.

Harmony needs a little TLC
June
Pros: Staff is so friendly
Cons: Embark needs a lot of work, Cruise director non existent
Recommended: No
The ship needs some attention to room details, doors not working, bathrooms need some help with replacements parts. Balcony needs some cleaning and painting. There were not enough bartenders in most of the bars. Over all still enjoyed our family trip with many laughs and memories. But don't think I will be back on Harmony.

Our first Royal Caribbean
May
Pros: Food, ship, destinations
Cons: Rare
Recommended: Yes
This was our first Royal cruise, and I was impressed to say the least. The food was much better than I anticipated. Every night there was something special we all loved. Our favorites were the escargot, the French onion soup, the Carna Asada, and wow don’t sleep on the spaghetti!! Talk about a shocker at how good it was. The shop offered a lot to do. We made reservations for all the shows, and none of them disappointed. I want to share how great our experience was in Honduras. We booked an excursion called Turquoise Bay VIP. While it is a modest $200, it was well worth it. I was expected a buffet for lunch, we were treated to a 3 star shrimp cocktail, and a surf and turf featuring steak and lobster. And wow it was really good!! Talk about a great excursion on the beach. Royal put on great shows. Grease was amazing. One night we spurged an ate at Chopps grill. It ended up being one of the best steaks I ever had. The appetizers are shareable but everyone gets one, so we all got to taste quite a few and they all were amazing. Lastly, my 5 year old absolutely loved the Kids Club!! Some people were complaining about disembarking, but we didn’t have a problem. We walked right off. I would definitely do a royal again. It surprised me how good it was.

Harmony of the Seas review
April
Pros: Great ship, great service, great people, great value
Cons: Galveston ...yuck! Shuttle communication before cruise poor
Recommended: Yes
Prior to arranging airflights, and shuttle from Houston airport to Galveston cruise dock the info re shuttle times, locations and cost was POOR. Even our cruise director couldn't find out departure times from Houston airport, nor departure time from cruise dock when the cruise ended. This forced us to book a flight home a lot later than we had to and sit around the Houston airport for about 4 hours unnecessarily .... because we weren't sure when the shuttle to the airport would leave and couldn't find out online. This should be VERY easy for a consumer to find but it was not. Poor job of communicating this. The shuttles themselves were fine. Five stars except for this.

Do not choose My Time dining if you are wanting to go when you want each day, you still need reservations for dining room. Check the app and reserve shows that you would like to attend. Recommend for families but not everyone will want all the activities offered. I am recommending but cautiously.

Love the Ship
March
Pros: Complimentary Dining in many locations
Cons: Need more elevators
Recommended: Yes
We loved the ship in November and this recent cruise in March 2024! Our disappointment in the cruise line changing our itineraries for our group parties. We were approximately 600 + in our group, events were planned, costumes purchased and show’s scheduled on the ship and RC decided to change a date of one of our parties. Some of Us were overbooked and had to scramble to rearrange our events or miss one. The same thing happened in November on another large group cruising (900+) event by changing our parties to a later time. We were angry changing our events to 11 pm at night even the night before getting back to Galveston. Some of us were so disappointed that we almost cancelled this recent cruise. We were always treated extremely well by your cruise line that’s why we chose Royal Caribbean to cruise with. We are the customers and we should be treated with respect.

Cozumel Cruise
November
Pros: Beautiful ship, lots of features, friendly & accommodating staff
Cons: Required pre booking of on ship events/shows. Need better final exit plan
Recommended: Yes
We enjoyed our cruise and Cozumel did not disappoint, the North Shore is beautiful. We did encounter some rough seas but no one can control the weather. We were unaware of the requirement to book shows and some events onboard, so we missed most of them, some were postponed due to the weather. The ship is gigantic there are many venues to gather/shop/dine, though some require additional payment for food purchases. We booked through Travelmachine.com and Lindsay was very helpful with our booking. The Ryan Foret Tradition performed onboard and they are excellent. When disembarking there was a huge line circling through the ship to exit. It moved along at a good pace, but there shop have been ship staff assisting at the stairs on deck #5 as people were coming down, that was not a very good situation, can be done better. After working our way through the line the rest of disembarking went great, though make sure you know which shuttle to go to for transportation back to your parking area. We had to walk around and ask others for directions. One other thing we paid our gratuity up front, not sure why the staff that takes care of the cabins feels the need to solicit additional tips. We tip very well and appreciate good service, yet being given a envelope to put funds in is just begging. Also the bedding is okay could be more comfortable. All in all was a nice trip and we found the dining room and buffet food to be very good.

Group Dance Party with Ryan Foret
November
Pros: Loved the Ship
Cons: Late night Dance Parties
Recommended: Yes
We were with a large group of dancers following our favorite band Ryan Foret. Our travel agency Travel Machine coordinated this large group event. We were told that our event dance could not start till dances 11 pm this time was too late. It made for a LONG Day. We noticed that the Studio B was not being used earlier why could we not have the room earlier? It made for a long Day! We are attending another Dance Event in March of 2024, we are praying for an early start. In the pass other Royal Caribbean Ships have always accommodated our dance groups, Harmony of the seas could have opened the event room earlier

Nice Ship for Families
July
Pros: Lot of Family Activities
Cons: Very Crowed Cruise
Recommended: Yes
Some of the best production shows in the fleet. Very family friendly with a lot of family pools and activities. The staff was friendly and went above expectation. The food was high quality, especially in the speciality restaurants. My only complaints are the booking for the shows (do it as soon as you step on the ship) and the buffet (refused to go because of the long lines to get in and people just walking in the exit).

Back2Back on Harmony of the Seas
May
Pros: Handicap accessible cabins, many varied activities all day, every day
Cons: Obviously Royal has made some cutbacks. Cabin Stewart only serviced room once a day but was available by phone if we needed anything
Recommended: Yes
I think they have reduced the size of portions in the dining room but I thought that is a good thing. Seemed like the cost of all beverages has gone up including bottled water. They were very accommodating about assisting my daughter (she uses a Walker) for check-in and moving in crowded areas like the main dining room. When you are in the Windjammer, it is every man for himself! Enjoyed the buffet in the Solarium Bistro for a couple of meals. Never felt crowded on the ship.

Harmony of the Seas
April
Pros: Dining staff and my stateroom attendant, Suzy, were excellent
Cons: No adult only pool
Recommended: Yes
I really appreciated the dining staff managing our large and inconsistent group. They were very flexible and attentive to our needs. I spend most of my time in the Solarium - wish there had been an adult only pool. The pool area was very crowded and loud - understandably - but having a pool for adults that was away from all the kids activities is something I will look for on future trips. My stateroom attendant, Suzy, was excellent - kind, attentive and thorough. The only shows worth attending are the diving and ice skating shows.

Harmony of the Seas- March 11-17, 2023 Spring Break
March
Pros: Adult Only Solarium area was very nice.
Cons: Adult Only Solarium should have 18 years old for minimum age. Hot tubs were over crowded with young teenagers. There was NO adult only pool.
Recommended: Yes
Ship was very nice and very large with tons of activities for young families. If looking for more of an adult cruise, I would recommend a different or smaller ship. Harmony of the Seas is set-up for young families to keep busy and have lots of onboard activities. I don't think the value is here if not utilizing all the amenities like the water slides, rock wall, flow rider, etc. The Boardwalk is a fun place, but very busy. Central Park was a very nice and quiet getaway. The new water theatre performances are really good- great addition! However, both theatre shows (Grease and Columbus) both had technical difficulties and were delayed. Loved the bionic bar and was very easy to use our drink packages here even the standard (non-alcoholic) package. The food was good, but not quite what I remember on other RC cruises (pre-COVID), especially the desserts. RC could improve upon the accommodation for food allergies. It seemed as though anytime I asked for a gluten free piece of bread or dessert, the staff had to go to a vault in the center of the ship and finally came back with it 10-12 minutes later. These items should be readily available and specific area for these. Their "gluten free" section in the Windjammer was 3 items- rice, steamed vegetables or mashed potatoes, and a brown "stew". Best options were typically found in the dining room or the Solarium Bistro. Overall the itinerary was very good. St. Thomas was the best and unfortunately, the island we were docked for the shortest time. St. Maarten "Ultimate Island Tour & Lagoon Cruise" was a little disappointing. The lagoon cruise was the (shortest), but best part. The island tour was on a large tour bus that only stopped once at a small market area with very "unpleasant" bathrooms. The bus was old and needed brake repairs. The squeaking brakes were so loud through stop and go, rush hour traffic the tour guide could not even be heard over the speaker. A middle age couple that was on our St. Thomas excursion relayed their (different) island shuttle tour was disappointing as well. St. Thomas was beautiful! Wish our day on St. Thomas was longer instead of on St. Maarten where there is not as much to do. We did the Honeymoon Beach Cycle Boat on St. Thomas which was a blast and the beach was gorgeous and sea turtles were spotted swimming in the water. Coco Cay was very nice and tons of activities for young families. Food on the island was mediocre. It has been 5 years since my last cruise and overall we had a great time and the cruise ship was beautiful. I am sure the cruise industry has had a very difficult time post-COVID and it appears they are working very hard to make cruising a great experience once again.

Diamond+ and first-timer on Oasis Class
February
Pros: Orderly, quick check-in; great shows - ice, water, headliner, comedy, and stage show. Absolutely loved the tribute to armed forces personnel and first responders. Well deserved and here's hoping it's done on other sailings.service
Cons: We miss the Viking Crown for its views and quiet place. It's gone because it had limited money-making opportunities. Had to watch when we went to the promenade as the music always seemed to be blaring. Hard to talk in some of the venues,
Recommended: Yes
First timers on an Oasis-class ship. Amazing technology at work here. Really big, but rarely felt the crowds. We miss quiet area on older, smaller ships. We felt the Promenade was a very loud zoo during much of the at-sea time.

8 night Aruba, Curaçao, Haiti.
December
Pros: Ship, Aruba, Curaçao, Haiti.
Cons: The food in the main dining room has gone way downhill.
Recommended: Yes
The Oasis class ships are really just amazing and you need to see them to believe them. The stops in Aruba and Curaçao were very nice and both places seem like destinations I’d like to go back to for a week or so (especially Curaçao). The day in Labadee is also very nice to either visit the island for an excursion or stay on the ship where you will have the run of the place or people watch from the balcony. Everyone in our party loved this itinerary and we all give it two thumbs up. The only con is the food in the main dining room has been lousy on each of the four RCCL cruises I’ve gone on since sailing resumed post Covid. I recommend purchasing the unlimited dining package and eating at the restaurants which were awesome, although pricey.

Pros: Friendly service
Cons: For better or worse, they follow CDC guidelines very closely

My wife and I wanted to celebrate our 25th anniversary by going on a cruise. The last time we were on one which was our first was when we got married. Suffice it to say, we were looking forward to this 7 day cruise and it didn't disappoint. There were a couple of snafus like when we couldn't dock at one port of call but that was certainly not the company's fault. Even with that, we still had a great time because there was so much to do on the ship and the food and service was excellent. We would definitely return.

Pros: Excellent waiters, excellent food, excellent entertainment
Cons: Too many kids running around, strollers in the hallways
Recommended: Yes
Our waiters, Genaro and Demi were so good! We enjoyed them. Alexander, the head waiter had a great sense of humor and was great also. The food was delicious, but I would appreciate less salt and letting people add the salt they want. I also think that when people park strollers in the hallway or when they end up in front of my door, that it is a hazard especially if we would need to get out quickly. I also think it made it very hard for people with wheelchairs, walkers or canes to get through the hallways! Strollers should be in the owners rooms. There were way too many kids on this cruise, so be careful booking the week of Martin Luther King holiday if you don’t want a lot of kids.

Cons:

Everyone that worked on the Harmony made our vacation something really special. Ryan was our cabin steward and he went above and beyond to be helpful and kind, our wait staff at dinner, Macky, was always there with a smile and was so patient and kind while we were deciding what to eat. My sister and I did the Nations Scavenger Hunt, it was so much fun, but the staff all over the ship was so nice and didn't mind us bothering them. Everyone had a smile on their face when you went by them. The staff worked hard but they were kind while they were doing their jobs. The food was fantastic and the desserts were amazing.

Harmony in January
January
Pros: Beautiful Ship, Lots of Activities, Excellent Food
Cons: Too Big and too many people, limited show capacity
Recommended: Yes
This was our first experience on an Oasis Class Ship. Overall, it was a great experience as the food was the best I've had on a cruise. The Ship is beautiful and there is always something to do for entertainment. The biggest drawback was the difference between how Shows on board are managed. Because of the size of the boat and number of guests, you must make reservations to see various shows (Musicals, Ice Skating shows, Aqua theater shows). If you are unable to make reservations, you have to wait in "stand-by" lines and hope that you get in. If you make reservations and then are not able to attend because of an unforeseen delay (i.e. dinner running to long/late), you are prohibited from make new reservations for that show unless you are able to cancel the reservations 1 hours ahead of time. We enjoyed our trip, but have determined that the largest class ship we intend to sail on in the future would be a Freedom Class. It seems to be just the right size for us.

Cons: Winter cruise required a change in itinerary, but it was still great! Pricy for the holiday cruise too.

Second cruise on the same ship and we would gladly go again! Easy to move some the ship, great food, even better crew members. Great variety of things to do.

Family trip with senior parents
November
Pros: Newer ship, very efficient embarkation and disembarkation, larger than average balcony staterooms with plenty of closet space, plenty of things to do on ships.
Cons: A little too big for seniors to navigate without assistance, sometimes long waits for elevators, should have designated elevators for handicapped guests, food was okay but tended to be overly salted, lots of extra charges for things that should be included.
Recommended: Yes
We did enjoy our cruise however I was not able to comfortably let my mobility impaired mother navigate the ship without being with her. It’s just too big and elevators tended to be overcrowded. The staff members were very good overall and the ports of call were beautiful.

Fun on the Harmony
May
Pros: Plenty of activities to stay busy. Shows were the highest cruise ship talent we have seen on any that we have done. All the staff were very helpful and enjoy their work, helping to make us have fun on our vacation. This ship had 4 pools and plenty of chairs. The aquatic show was amazing.

March
Pros: Large, clean ship with lots of activities to keep everyone entertained. The staff was exceptionally friendy and completely servcie oriented. Food was OK at the main dining room and the staff went out of their way to accomodate special diatery needs. Meal options were better at the speciality dining restaurants.
Cons: Lots of passengers resulted in lines for almost everything including dinners with previously made reservations at the main dining room. Lines at the buffet area were even longer - especially at prime dining times. We planned to spent a couple port days on the ship to enjoy some of the activities, however, all were closed outside of the pools.

February
Pros: Large ship with lots of things to do - very organized and you never wait in lin e. Very clean and many new sanitation amenities like hand washing stations everywhere ! Excellent entertainment with lots of variety. Interesting specialty restaurants especially Wonderland. Highly recommend going there. Excellent on boarding and disembarkation. Balcony room was great. Lots of storage and well laid out.
Cons: Main dining room if you are on Any Time Dining is fair to poor for service and average food. Specialty dining is much better but you pay for it. Evening shows are excellent but families saving seats or whole rows was out of control. Need to seat with reservations only if whole party present otherwise small groups or couples have limited choices.

We actually looked forward to seeing her every day. She is an exceptional employee and should be given some sort of promotion for her workmanship. It is not often that companies have employees of her caliber. She is exceptional and should be rewarded for it!! We were in staterooms 12611 & 12613 on the Harmony of the Seas from 2/17/18-2/24/18. Review of Harmony of the Seas
January
Pros: Wonderful ship, food, entertainment, fitness/spa. Something for everyone every minute of the day
Cons: Excessive tipping beyond what we had prepaid. Also stay stay inside the gated area near the port of Falmouth Haimica because we felt it was a little unsafe beyond the gates unless you have a planned excursion
Recommended: Yes
We had a wonderful trip for our first cruise. We will definitely go on this ship again. 78 nationalities of the people on our cruise and we loved the diversity and cultures from all over the world. We met many interesting people. Fitness center and spa were exceptional and the entertainment on board was fantastic. We did not buy the WiFi package and so I couldn’t print our boarding passes. I had to go to the service area and get help to retrieve them. I also suggested they set up something onboard so people could just print a boarding pass without paying for the WiFi.

Had three generations on the cruise. Kids club was good, but not as entertaining for the grandchildren as Disney. Sometimes on deck 5 in the Promenade area there were too many people. Most times we didn’t realize there were 6000+ passengers on board. Main dining rooms were very good and the other dining venues for additional charge were very nice but not worth the extra expense. Entertainment was overall very good. Unfortunately our snorkeling on Labadee was cancelled due to rain storms all day.

Harmony of the Seas - Easter Caribbean
April
Pros: Wonderful crew, great ship with lots to do, exciting shows, food is excellent
Cons: Robotic Bar, crowded at times
Recommended: Yes
We sailed on the Harmony of the Seas for an Eastern Caribbean itinerary. The ship is less than a year old and is both fresh and new. We found the crew to be really good, both friendly and helpful. Royal has stepped up its MDR and the selection was very good and all entrees came out at the right temperature. This was an issue we had on Oasis a few years ago. The new Italian specialty, Jamie's, is an upgrade over Giovanni's and has a more authentic menu. The waiter was able to combine many dishes in smaller portions so we were able to enjoy more selections. The shows are great but make reservations ahead of time, for example, the theater was filled for Grease 15 minutes after the doors opened.

I guess we are jaded. The new cruise ships have an almost impossible task of feeding thousands of people 3 times a day. The food is not great. The extra cost restaurants are just OK. I ate at Chops OK, Jaime's Italian not worth going, Izumi very good, and the newest and worth the money is Wonderland. It was different and very innovative. Harmony of the Seas
December
Pros: The entertainment was great with tons to do. The ship is gigantic and fabulous. The state rooms are very comfortable and we loved the virtual balcony. It's a great vacation for families and intergenerational groups. Would definitely recommend
Cons: It's all about the ship for us, so the ports of call were less important. But there was not enough time in San Juan (got there 7 am and had to be back on ship at 1:30 pm). The labadee stop we didn't even get off ship for, instead enjoyed all the amenities with hardly anyone there. It is a hectic ship since there are so many passsengers, but Royal Carib does a great job of logistics and it was all manageable. I would thoroughly recommend.
Recommended: Yes
The food in the dining room was mediocre the first three nights. Then we switched from the 3rd floor dining room to the 2nd floor dining room and the food was much improved. On such a big ship there are probably multiple cooks and kitchen facilities servicing the dining room. On St. Maartin we went to Philipsburg. It was perfect. We shopped a little then got beach chairs, went swimming, and ate lunch. It was relaxing and great. As said before, not enough time in San Juan. And we didn't even bother to get of the boat in Labadee, which suited us perfectly.

Great Trip
November
Pros: Lots to do on the ship.
Cons: Food quality not as good as it used to be.
Recommended: Yes
Great cruise experience!!!! We had a great time on each island that we visited, and the beaches were wonderful. There was so much to do on Harmony of the Seas, that we never got bored, and the service was very good. The addition of the water slides made an already enjoyable pool experience even better, and the hot tubs were great, as well as all of the other outdoor activities. Our cabin was very comfortable, and our room attendant Ernesto did an outstanding job of keeping it clean and tending to our needs. The only thing that I was not satisfied with on the ship was the lack of variety at Windjammer, and that the food choices didn't seem to change much from day to day, and what was there was just OK. That aside, we had a wonderful experience overall and are definitely looking forward to our next cruise with RCL.

Being this was my first time on a cruise, I am beyond pleased with my experience. The most important thing that stood out was the excellent staff on the Royal Caribbean cruise (Harmony of the Sea) every staff member that I came across was polite, helpful, with beautiful spirits, in which I couldn't have asked for anything more. The food was good, drinks was always right o point. Everyone made me feel at home by even remembering my name. Pool bar: Please make sure to thank all the following staff: The 2 Jamaican bartenders at the pool bar. (Only had to tell them 1 time what I like to drink and every day they had it ready before I asked.. Krashtion was 1 of the names Fine Dinning: 5th FLOOR ROY was always good to us and made sure are needs were meet each time Casino: both bartender (1 from the Philinpines 1 from same place) would see me and say hi on a first name base. Never any issues and chatted about are homelands Sorenntio pizza place Nice man from Hondures who would chat and make us special chicken pizza just as if we were home Lastly are room attendant (Marinco) who was one of the most nicest person I've met. Every morning, night, daytime, whenever he was always there. Would help us with anything, kept are room always clean and would make us special animal figures out of out towels. (Monkeys, elephants, etc always where my glasses, which he always help me find) he should truelly be recognized for his work as NOT 1 room attendant did the job like him(we asked around) There were many more as well as the beautiful ship itself, we loved it so much we have already booked are next cruise which on the ship for July 2017 to the Caribbean. 1 downside was the comedy show in which we were looking forward to as It was canceled the who time with not really an explanation as to why. Thank Royal Caribbean for everything
