Start your tour at Nagasaki Peace Park, dedicated to the memory of the atomic bombing on August 9, 1945. Drive through the park and see iconic landmarks such as the Peace Statue and the Fountain of Peace. These monuments serve as reminders of the devastating impact of nuclear warfare and promote a message of peace and reconciliation. Drive to the Atomic Bomb Hypocenter Park, located near the epicenter of the atomic bombing. While a 4-hour tour may not allow for a full visit, you can drive by to see the memorial cenotaph and the remnants of Urakami Cathedral, which was destroyed by the bombing.

Drive to Glover Garden, a historic park overlooking Nagasaki Harbor. Take a leisurely drive through the garden's winding paths and admire the Western-style residences that belonged to foreign merchants during the Meiji era. While you may not have time for a guided tour, you can appreciate the park's architectural heritage from the car. Drive past or make a quick stop at the Nagasaki Peace Memorial Hall, located within Peace Park. Drive along Creek Street, a picturesque boardwalk lined with colorful buildings that were once brothels and now house shops and galleries. Take in the sights of the bustling waterfront and the fishing boats bobbing in the harbor.

Drive to Saxman Native Village, located just a short distance from downtown Ketchikan. This Native Alaskan village is known for its collection of intricately carved totem poles, which offer insights into the culture and history of the Tlingit people. While a 4-hour tour may not allow for a guided tour, you can drive through the village to see the totem poles from the car.

If time allows and you're interested in Native Alaskan culture, consider driving to Totem Bight State Historical Park, located a short distance north of Ketchikan.
